The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maurizio Restle made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Raimundo Decorvet sent off a good shot on target. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Raimundo Decorvet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurizio Restle. Fc Janisen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Decorvet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Janning Jolidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes Henggart got a freekick which was hit by Florent Cinq-Mars. Reto Scherer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Scott Baum went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Scott Baum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Reto Scherer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Scott Baum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute Janning Jolidon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reto Scherer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott Baum in the 39th minute of play forced Henggart's goalkeeper Reto Scherer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Janning Jolidon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Reto Scherer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Scott Baum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Janning Jolidon in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reto Scherer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Scott Baum to make the kick off. Sidonius Bolduc kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Janning Jolidon hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Scott Baum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Janisen's supporters rose to their feet, but Scott Baum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reto Scherer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Henggart getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Florian Hofmann hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott Baum in the 77th minute of play forced Henggart's goalkeeper Reto Scherer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Enrique Sanchen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Henggart and the Fc Janisen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Enrique Sanchen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Scott Baum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Reto Scherer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scott Baum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reto Scherer having to interfere. When Janning Jolidon came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Fc Janisen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Janning Jolidon couldn't finish the play.
