When Philipp Michon fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgnone FC's protests and gave Philipp Michon a yellow card for diving instead. Philipp Michon kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olli Nielispach in the 15th minute of play forced Borgnone FC's goalkeeper Carl Seiler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Olli Nielispach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borgnone FC's goalkeeper Carl Seiler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Arrigo Häfeli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Arrigo Häfeli came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ocourt HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arrigo Häfeli couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olli Nielispach was the one to do the kick off. Carl Seiler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olli Nielispach's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Borgnone FC:s Carl Seiler showed great skill when he stopped Jose Steindl:s penalty. In the 65th minute Olli Nielispach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Seiler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falk Heller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borgnone FC's goalkeeper Carl Seiler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ocourt HC's Olli Nielispach got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olli Nielispach in the 79th minute of play forced Borgnone FC's goalkeeper Carl Seiler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Borgnone FC's Carl Seiler got control of the ball when Arrigo Häfeli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juerg Zarrella came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Borgnone FC's Giuseppe Baer. But to his dismay, Giuseppe Baer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Carl Seiler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olli Nielispach in the 92nd minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
