The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pat Bürger charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Alfred Moser managed to get in a good position for a shot. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Nankatsu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Frutig came free, but Gianluca Drechsler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rothenbrummen AC's Matthieu Fuerst in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Matthieu Fuerst quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Francis Rub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gianluca Drechsler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matthieu Fuerst's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Rothenbrummen AC were furious when Nikodemus Kirchner was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Nankatsu SC booed when Rothenbrummen AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikodemus Kirchner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Strobel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gianluca Drechsler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gianluca Drechsler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Frutig, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfred Moser during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Alfred Moser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillaume Disler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gianluca Drechsler having to interfere. When Francis Rub fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nankatsu SC's protests and gave Francis Rub a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nankatsu SC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Francis Rub hit a great ball. When Alfred Moser came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rothenbrummen AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Moser couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leo Frutig to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Duss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francis Rub in the 55th minute of the match. With his leg Gianluca Drechsler managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Rothenbrummen AC's Leo Frutig fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 61 minutes into the match, Rothenbrummen AC's goal looked a bit too open when Thommy Decimo came free, but Jeremias Duss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Frutig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gianluca Drechsler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Frutig in the 66th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Leo Frutig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothenbrummen AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Frutig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Leo Frutig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gianluca Drechsler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Frutig in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gianluca Drechsler saved Nankatsu SC from getting behind. If Alfred Moser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Frutig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gianluca Drechsler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillaume Disler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute.
