Maurus Delfs did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Marius Fröhlicher 25 minutes into the match. Sandro Bianini hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match Pascal Decker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marius Fröhlicher skillfully saved the ball. Maurus Delfs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Fröhlicher having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurus Delfs during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maurus Delfs hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Maurus Delfs struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Marius Fröhlicher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Handegg. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurus Delfs couldn't finish the play. Keamon Maina's late challenge caught a Handegg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keamon Maina helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Keamon Maina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 48 minutes, Maurus Delfs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Handegg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurus Delfs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miro Marth was the one to do the kick off. Marius Fröhlicher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josua Eigel's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Handegg's Miro Marth got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Handegg's Maurus Delfs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marius Fröhlicher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Maurus Delfs kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Philippe Sequeira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erwin Hennenberg. The goal made the score 2-1. The audience was convinced that Miro Marth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marius Fröhlicher was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Maurus Delfs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marius Fröhlicher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurus Delfs in the 91st minute of play. Handegg walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
