Trogomare's Pedro Bircher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuno Brunelle in the 14th minute of play. After 20 played minutes VidemonteFC got a freekick which was hit by Dominique Hufschmid. In the 24th minute Gerald Colantoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiri Ehrenbolger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, VidemonteFC's Jiri Ehrenbolger got control of the ball when Ben Heffliger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dominique Hufschmid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Bircher having to interfere. After the first half VidemonteFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gerald Colantoni made the kick off in the second half. Jiri Ehrenbolger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Heffliger, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Trogomare's zone, Kuno Brunelle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Bircher came out of the goal and Kuno Brunelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kuno Brunelle kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Philippe Schumske kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Ben Heffliger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jiri Ehrenbolger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominique Hufschmid took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Bircher. Pedro Bircher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The supporters of VidemonteFC booed when Trogomare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piero Michel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Dominique Hufschmid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Bircher was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Ben Heffliger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute VidemonteFC were awarded a corner. Joseph Dalmedico went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joseph Dalmedico almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trogomare's Pedro Bircher did a great save. VidemonteFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
