A collision led to FC BASEL getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Knud Strickler hit a great ball. Blaise Hellmüller took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronan Kaestner. FC BASEL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Maxence Faure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oliver Zwygart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan Kaestner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elia Laberge in the 15th minute of play forced FC BASEL's goalkeeper Ronan Kaestner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, FC BASEL's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Zwygart came free, but Ronan Kaestner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Moscia's Pierre Steffen got control of the ball when Maxence Faure tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maxence Faure could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Pierre Steffen made a huge save. Ronan Kaestner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Zwygart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronan Kaestner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Zwygart in the 25th minute of play. Elia Laberge struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ronan Kaestner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moscia. Oliver Zwygart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan Kaestner having to interfere. If Oliver Zwygart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Elia Laberge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronan Kaestner. FC BASEL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elia Laberge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Lionel Frey succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lionel Frey to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Moscia's Elia Laberge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronan Kaestner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Oliver Zwygart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Gabriel Marty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC BASEL's goalkeeper Ronan Kaestner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maxence Faure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC BASEL's zone, Oliver Zwygart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronan Kaestner came out of the goal and Oliver Zwygart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, FC BASEL's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Laberge came free, but Ronan Kaestner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Elia Laberge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan Kaestner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre Steffen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel Frey, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Pierre Steffen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxence Faure in the 73rd minute of play. Oliver Zwygart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan Kaestner having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Lionel Frey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC BASEL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Moscia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
