After 4 minutes, Levi Sehringer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lansch and the Swisser hc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Lansch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levi Sehringer to maneuver through the defense. If Roger Twerenbold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland Restaino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gene Curti, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gene Curti couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Lansch's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Schumacher came free, but Roland Restaino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lansch's Roger Twerenbold got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Twerenbold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Adler having to interfere. The supporters of Lansch booed when Swisser hc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christy Biland didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger Twerenbold made a kick off. Diego Schumacher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gene Curti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the game, Massimo Morf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Denis Adler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Roger Twerenbold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lansch's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Twerenbold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Adler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute Gene Curti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Restaino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lansch's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gene Curti 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. After having played for 74 minutes, Roger Twerenbold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lansch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Twerenbold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Massimo Morf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Swisser hc's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Twerenbold came free, but Denis Adler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gene Curti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Restaino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gene Curti in the 95th minute of the match. When Gene Curti came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Swisser hc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gene Curti couldn't finish the play.
