Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Neil Da Silva took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 minutes, Irwin Graziani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grengiols HC and the Slavia Kreuzlingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Grengiols HC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Irwin Graziani hit a great ball. Ermanno Stutz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augustin Graf. Grengiols HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Graham Ziörjen made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Joe Jost sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the match, Slavia Kreuzlingen's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Da Silva came free, but Graham Ziörjen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grengiols HC's Augustin Graf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julius Gerig in the 16th minute of play. Augustin Graf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius Gerig in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Joe Jost cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Graham Ziörjen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Grengiols HC's Fréderic Meier got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 27 played minutes Grengiols HC got a freekick which was hit by Irwin Graziani. In the 38th minute Neil Da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graham Ziörjen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes, Carl Gruenigen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grengiols HC and the Slavia Kreuzlingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Grengiols HC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Carl Gruenigen hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julius Gerig made a kick off. Graham Ziörjen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irwin Graziani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Hans Loser suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julius Gerig during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Julius Gerig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joe Jost took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Graham Ziörjen. Graham Ziörjen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Joe Jost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Slavia Kreuzlingen getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ignazio Haag hit a great ball. Theo Neumann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Graham Ziörjen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Joe Jost had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Graham Ziörjen. Slavia Kreuzlingen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joe Jost was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 85 minutes into the game, Julius Gerig recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Augustin Graf. Julius Gerig showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ray Ebersbach got free with Augustin Graf in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grengiols HC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
