FC Florian's Cäsar Hottiger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save FC Florian from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Ignazio Haag's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cäsar Hottiger was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Ulf Müggler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Graham Ziörjen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Beat Murray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Florian fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ray Ebersbach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cäsar Hottiger having to make a save. Ray Ebersbach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julius Gerig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julius Gerig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cäsar Hottiger having to interfere. Cäsar Hottiger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Gerig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ulf Müggler came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the FC Florian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Müggler couldn't finish the play. Cäsar Hottiger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Ebersbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ray Ebersbach in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cäsar Hottiger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beat Murray was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Julius Gerig struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Cäsar Hottiger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slavia Kreuzlingen. In the 80th minute Ray Ebersbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cäsar Hottiger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julius Gerig scored 1-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cäsar Hottiger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cäsar Hottiger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julius Gerig went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ulf Müggler managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Florian's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulf Müggler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Graham Ziörjen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ulf Müggler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
