Spectators: 7722 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gideon Aeberli started the match with the kick off. Ludwig Nef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Hans-Ruedi Steurer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Gideon Aeberli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerry Schneider was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Arosio's goal looked a bit too open when Bosco Bürgler came free, but Gerry Schneider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Zingg in the 17th minute of play forced Arosio's goalkeeper Gerry Schneider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Eschenbach's Hans-Ruedi Steurer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Nef in the 21st minute of play. Arosio's Ludwig Nef got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerry Schneider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bosco Bürgler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bosco Bürgler in the 38th minute of play forced Arosio's goalkeeper Gerry Schneider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes of play, FC Eschenbach's Heiko Zingg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerry Schneider was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerry Schneider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiko Zingg in the 44th minute of the match. The Arosio players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Eschenbach were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ludwig Nef made a kick off. Gerry Schneider made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bosco Bürgler in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bosco Bürgler got free with Gerry Schneider in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Heiko Zingg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerry Schneider. The goal made the score 0-3. Gerry Schneider was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Nobs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 75 minute of play. Arosio's Gerry Schneider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Nobs in the 82nd minute of play. Gideon Aeberli scored 0-6 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerry Schneider, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th match minute, Arosio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Mendes to maneuver through the defense. FC Eschenbach played a much better game than Arosio and deserved their victory. The Arosio players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
