When Reigoldswil's Felice Steiner in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1. FC Vatikan's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 3 minutes, Kersten Camiscia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reigoldswil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kersten Camiscia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Vatikan's Ronny Courtemanche got a free kick in the 4th minute. Leonello Henseler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Steiner in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Kersten Camiscia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Vatikan's John Schenker got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Felice Steiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in 1. FC Vatikan's zone, Felice Steiner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonello Henseler came out of the goal and Felice Steiner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reigoldswil's Felice Steiner got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Schenker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felton Barkholz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but John Schenker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felice Steiner was the one to do the kick off. Baldo Wollstadt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felton Barkholz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Schenker in the 56th minute of play. When 1. FC Vatikan's John Schenker in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Reigoldswil's goalie prevented a goal. Anatol Schmitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonello Henseler having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Reigoldswil's zone, Baldo Wollstadt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felton Barkholz came out of the goal and Baldo Wollstadt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, John Schenker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quentin Dietrich hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 2-0 when John Schenker sped through Reigoldswil's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Felton Barkholz. Felice Steiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Leonello Henseler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, John Schenker notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Reigoldswil's Felton Barkholz. Felton Barkholz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 79 played minutes 1. FC Vatikan got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Courtemanche. If John Schenker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes 1. FC Vatikan got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Bregenzer. Reigoldswil's Carlos Racine got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th match minute, 1. FC Vatikan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Bregenzer to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. 1. FC Vatikan were victorious despite being under pressure from Reigoldswil for much of the match.
