Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Garcia Lengen got the match started through his kick off. Arnaud Loiacono kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, ESC Kriessern's Leonello Henseler threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harvey Tschupp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gillian Jaeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldo Wollstadt in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harvey Tschupp in the 12th minute of play forced 1. FC Vatikan's goalkeeper Leonello Henseler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gillian Jaeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Schenker in the 13th minute of the match. Garcia Lengen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonello Henseler having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Patrick Bregenzer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1. FC Vatikan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESC Kriessern the free kick. In the 15th match minute, 1. FC Vatikan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Bregenzer to maneuver through the defense. When Clarence Monney fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1. FC Vatikan's protests and gave Clarence Monney a yellow card for diving instead. When Tam Ulrich came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the ESC Kriessern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tam Ulrich couldn't finish the play. If Franek Megnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, John Schenker notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ESC Kriessern's Gillian Jaeger. Gillian Jaeger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 1. FC Vatikan's Clarence Monney got his second yellow card of the match in the 30th minute. The referee ordered Clarence Monney off the ground. After 31 played minutes 1. FC Vatikan got a freekick which was hit by Clarence Monney. Leonello Henseler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garcia Lengen went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, 1. FC Vatikan's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Tschupp came free, but Leonello Henseler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Franek Megnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in ESC Kriessern fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! After 45 minutes of play, 1. FC Vatikan's Baldo Wollstadt made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gillian Jaeger was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half 1. FC Vatikan were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldo Wollstadt to make the kick off. Patrick Bregenzer was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 56th match minute, 1. FC Vatikan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Bregenzer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garcia Lengen in the 59th minute of play forced 1. FC Vatikan's goalkeeper Leonello Henseler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to 1. FC Vatikan getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ronny Courtemanche hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, 1. FC Vatikan's goal looked a bit too open when Franek Megnet came free, but Leonello Henseler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garcia Lengen struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Leonello Henseler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESC Kriessern. 1. FC Vatikan's Baldo Wollstadt got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Franek Megnet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ESC Kriessern's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1. FC Vatikan the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Franek Megnet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ESC Kriessern booed when 1. FC Vatikan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Courtemanche didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 75th minute of the match Franek Megnet completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Franek Megnet a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Leonello Henseler came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by ESC Kriessern's Theo Blumer. But to his dismay, Theo Blumer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Harvey Tschupp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonello Henseler having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Theo Blumer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESC Kriessern and the 1. FC Vatikan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Theo Blumer hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Theo Blumer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonello Henseler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonello Henseler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tam Ulrich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ESC Kriessern had played much better football throughout.
