Curtiz Zürcher didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Patrick Bregenzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Schenker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Theo Loser made a huge save. With a little luck, Andwil's Theo Loser got control of the ball when John Schenker tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, John Schenker took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Theo Loser to make any attempt to save it. After 24 played minutes 1. FC Vatikan got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Bregenzer. John Schenker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Loser having to interfere. John Schenker might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theo Loser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Schenker ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Andwil's zone, Baldo Wollstadt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Loser came out of the goal and Baldo Wollstadt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, John Schenker made a precise shot to the right of Theo Loser. Andwil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Patrick Bregenzer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Theo Loser made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Schenker was the one to do the kick off. When Louis Meili came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Andwil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis Meili couldn't finish the play. Leonello Henseler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Meili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Giuliano Estermann could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Leonello Henseler however easily saved by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Clarence Monney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Huber Walker from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Leonello Henseler's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 72nd match minute, Andwil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamal Primavera to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Andwil's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaud Loiacono came free, but Theo Loser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theo Loser was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baldo Wollstadt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Theo Loser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, John Schenker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Loser was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 1. FC Vatikan fully deserved thier win.
