The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gugu Bebe during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes FC Eschlikon got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Bebe. Kasimir Arter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Schifferli having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Cierfs HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuele Lenz to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes FC Eschlikon got a freekick which was hit by Romero Baumeister. After 16 minutes, Kasimir Arter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cierfs HC and the FC Eschlikon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Eschlikon booed when Cierfs HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasimir Arter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dé Baba got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 17th match minute before Kasimir Amiel had time to react. After a defensive mix-up in FC Eschlikon's zone, Kasimir Arter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Schifferli came out of the goal and Kasimir Arter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Michael Dafond cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Elias Schifferli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Cierfs HC's goalkeeper Kasimir Amiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Baba. In the 37th minute Kasimir Arter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Schifferli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cierfs HC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Michael Dafond hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Dafond made a kick off. Kasimir Arter in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elias Schifferli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kasimir Arter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Elias Schifferli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 played minutes FC Eschlikon got a freekick which was hit by Frederic Flückiger. Kasimir Arter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kasimir Arter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frederic Flückiger hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Michael Dafond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Schifferli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Romero Baumeister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasimir Amiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxence Labrie's late challenge caught a FC Eschlikon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
