Justinian Junod was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Michael Dafond capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michael Dafond really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 7th minute Uli Maina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasimir Amiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Dafond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justinian Junod stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Dafond's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After some careless play in the FK Republika Srpska defense, Kasimir Arter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justinian Junod. The FK Republika Srpska fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justinian Junod should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the match, FK Republika Srpska's goalkeeper Justinian Junod had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kasimir Arter. Michael Dafond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kasimir Arter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Dafond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justinian Junod having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasimir Arter got free with Justinian Junod in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uli Maina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kasimir Amiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Cierfs HC's Kasimir Arter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justinian Junod narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Michael Dafond was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Cierfs HC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 41st match minute, Cierfs HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaz Albrecher to maneuver through the defense. Cierfs HC's Kasimir Arter got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Horaz Albrecher fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cierfs HC's protests and gave Horaz Albrecher a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Uli Maina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michael Dafond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justinian Junod having to interfere. Kasimir Arter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justinian Junod read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. The referee ignored FK Republika Srpska's protests and gave Vico Boller a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FK Republika Srpska booed when Cierfs HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Spagnuolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justinian Junod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Dafond in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Ilja Verreau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kasimir Arter came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Cierfs HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kasimir Arter couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Michael Dafond put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Justinian Junod. Michael Dafond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Justinian Junod tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Friedel Anderjoli fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Republika Srpska's protests and gave Friedel Anderjoli a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Friedel Anderjoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute of the match Conrad Moench shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justinian Junod showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cierfs HC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
