Morten Sturzenegger might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronan Vonarburg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Morten Sturzenegger ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute, Beltrame Kirchhofer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronan Vonarburg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of aurelFC booed when Erde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quirin Rösli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Bär charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Bär the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remo Bär hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beltrame Kirchhofer in the 18th minute of play forced aurelFC's goalkeeper Ronan Vonarburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronan Vonarburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morten Sturzenegger in the 19th minute of the match. Ronan Vonarburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beltrame Kirchhofer in the 20th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, aurelFC's goal looked a bit too open when Beltrame Kirchhofer came free, but Ronan Vonarburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. aurelFC's Ronan Vonarburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morten Sturzenegger in the 31st minute of play. Beltrame Kirchhofer scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronan Vonarburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morten Sturzenegger in the 36th minute of play forced aurelFC's goalkeeper Ronan Vonarburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. aurelFC's Ronan Vonarburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morten Sturzenegger in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Erde's Beltrame Kirchhofer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronan Vonarburg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ronan Vonarburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Sturzenegger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Beltrame Kirchhofer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 55 minutes, Samuele Baertschi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the aurelFC and the Erde players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes aurelFC got a freekick which was hit by Samuele Baertschi. With an all-out effort, Erde's Ronan Vonarburg threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Beltrame Kirchhofer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Morten Sturzenegger scored 0-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronan Vonarburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronan Vonarburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beltrame Kirchhofer, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Samuele Baertschi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Morten Sturzenegger came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ronan Vonarburg could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Beltrame Kirchhofer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronan Vonarburg was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 75th minute Beltrame Kirchhofer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan Vonarburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronan Vonarburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beltrame Kirchhofer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beltrame Kirchhofer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronan Vonarburg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After recieving a nice pass, Erde's Reinhard Busch tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
