Kurt Frankfurter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Rusch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Rusch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Victor Rusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Frankfurter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Rusch in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, one of FC Thuner Löwen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Thuner Löwen. In the 42nd minute Victor Rusch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Frankfurter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Philip Vogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Thuner Löwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Vogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven Rastgeber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dan Willi's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. If Dan Willi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Willi made a kick off. Sven Rastgeber came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Thuner Löwen's Dan Willi. But to his dismay, Dan Willi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Kurt Frankfurter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Rusch in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute Frankl Apicella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Frankfurter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Rusch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Inter Mydiat Grenchen's zone, Dan Willi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Rastgeber came out of the goal and Dan Willi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
