Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 3rd match minute, Mosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Santschi to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute Keith Caron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andor Konig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eamon Zufferey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Lafranchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mosa FC booed when Faoug HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Spillmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thierry Imhof kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Andor Konig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Martinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Alfonso Lafranchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eamon Zufferey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keith Caron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mosa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eamon Zufferey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Santschi, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Faoug HC's Eamon Zufferey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pirmin Guerra in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Alfonso Lafranchi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mosa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Lafranchi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eamon Zufferey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mosa FC's zone, Dominik Martinelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andor Konig came out of the goal and Dominik Martinelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alfonso Lafranchi came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Mosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Lafranchi couldn't finish the play. Dominik Martinelli struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Andor Konig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Faoug HC. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
