Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Suruçspor's Ceddric Ceroli started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Grashoppers Club Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Ceddric Ceroli came free, but Markus Waltispühl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Schroeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Markus Waltispühl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theo Nagel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatus Holmann in the 10th minute of play. Quintinus Wollenmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Theo Nagel. Suruçspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Theo Nagel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Sauerberg in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Büchel in the 19th minute of play forced Suruçspor's goalkeeper Theo Nagel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Joe Osterhagen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Theo Nagel, 1-0. Aldo Schroeder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Markus Waltispühl having to make a save. After having played for 29 minutes, Aldo Schroeder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suruçspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Schroeder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Joe Osterhagen fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grashoppers Club Zürich's protests and gave Joe Osterhagen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Joe Osterhagen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quintinus Wollenmann kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ceddric Ceroli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suruçspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceddric Ceroli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Waltispühl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aldo Schroeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Suruçspor's goalkeeper Theo Nagel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joe Osterhagen. After some careless play in the Suruçspor defense, Joe Osterhagen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theo Nagel. The Suruçspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Nagel should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the game, Aldo Schroeder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Suruçspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grashoppers Club Zürich the free kick. Aldo Schroeder kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renatus Holmann made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Mike Büchel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theo Nagel. Suruçspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mike Büchel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 65 played minutes Suruçspor got a freekick which was hit by Vitus Lüdi. Theo Nagel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Osterhagen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Suruçspor's Theo Nagel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Osterhagen in the 72nd minute of play. Theo Nagel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Osterhagen, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Theo Nagel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joe Osterhagen went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Augustin Sticher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Sauerberg in the 88th minute of play forced Suruçspor's goalkeeper Theo Nagel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Sauerberg took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Theo Nagel. Theo Nagel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
