Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Renatus Holmann took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tony Sauerberg struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Fabrice Tenaglia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grashoppers Club Zürich. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renatus Holmann in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrice Tenaglia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrice Tenaglia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Sauerberg's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Kloten's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Büchel came free, but Fabrice Tenaglia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Tony Sauerberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kloten's Fabrice Tenaglia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grashoppers Club Zürich's Markus Waltispühl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Grashoppers Club Zürich from getting a goal against them. Renatus Holmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrice Tenaglia having to interfere. Adrien Grossmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Sauerberg in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Fabrice Tenaglia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatus Holmann in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixt Bänninger during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kloten getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sixt Bänninger hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Renatus Holmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grashoppers Club Zürich's supporters rose to their feet, but Renatus Holmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrice Tenaglia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Sauerberg in the 41st minute of play forced Kloten's goalkeeper Fabrice Tenaglia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Tony Sauerberg made a precise shot to the right of Fabrice Tenaglia. Kloten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Rupert Bédard made the kick off in the second half. Fabrice Tenaglia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatus Holmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabrice Tenaglia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatus Holmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Tony Sauerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rupert Bédard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Grashoppers Club Zürich booed when Kloten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderius Blättler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quintinus Wollenmann, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kloten's Sixt Bänninger got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Sixt Bänninger off the ground. After 73 played minutes Kloten got a freekick which was hit by Sixt Bänninger. 75 minutes into the match, Grashoppers Club Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Adrien Grossmann came free, but Markus Waltispühl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Mike Büchel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrice Tenaglia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Kloten's Fabrice Tenaglia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatus Holmann in the 83rd minute of play. Renatus Holmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fabrice Tenaglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renatus Holmann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Fabrice Tenaglia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 90 in the game by Tony Sauerberg from a close distance when the talented Fabrice Tenaglia managed to make a qualified save. Kloten's players were relieved. In the 91st minute, Adrien Grossmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kloten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Grashoppers Club Zürich's Quintinus Wollenmann pulled a muscle in his back after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 94 minutes into the game, Adrien Grossmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kloten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grashoppers Club Zürich the free kick.
