Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Charles Labrie kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charles Labrie in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chris Scheuber saved Grasshoppers from getting behind. Nicolas Kolb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Chris Scheuber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jurij Sablone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Scheuber having to interfere. If Charles Labrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Finkel in the 14th minute of play forced Grasshoppers's goalkeeper Chris Scheuber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Grasshoppers's goal looked a bit too open when Jurij Sablone came free, but Chris Scheuber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LLoyd Fruehauf might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Schenker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. LLoyd Fruehauf ran back to his position shaking his head. Charles Labrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Chris Scheuber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Charles Labrie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Winznau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nicolas Kolb's late challenge caught a Grasshoppers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Kolb helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolas Kolb hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. If Jurij Sablone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Jurij Sablone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Winznau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurij Sablone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Jurij Sablone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chris Scheuber was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Joakim Finkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Chris Scheuber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Grasshoppers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Winznau were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for LLoyd Fruehauf to strike the kick off in the second half. Chris Scheuber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Labrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Timmy Mathieu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grasshoppers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Winznau the free kick. The supporters of FC Winznau booed when Grasshoppers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Mathieu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Labrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. LLoyd Fruehauf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Kolb was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Chris Scheuber came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Winznau's Favian Schwarz. But to his dismay, Favian Schwarz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by LLoyd Fruehauf in the 79th minute of play forced FC Winznau's goalkeeper Pablo Schenker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, LLoyd Fruehauf made a precise shot to the right of Pablo Schenker. FC Winznau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Chris Scheuber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Favian Schwarz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Grasshoppers's zone, Charles Labrie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Scheuber came out of the goal and Charles Labrie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charles Labrie got in the 91st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Chris Scheuber handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Grasshoppers got a freekick which was hit by Udo Gloeckner. Charles Labrie might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chris Scheuber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charles Labrie ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute, Jurij Sablone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Winznau played a much better game than Grasshoppers and deserved their victory. The Grasshoppers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
