The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 42 minutes, LLoyd Fruehauf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grasshoppers's supporters crossed their fingers, but LLoyd Fruehauf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd match minute, FC Portugals Glory was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacques Hesse to maneuver through the defense. When Grasshoppers's Udo Gloeckner in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. LLoyd Fruehauf was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Portugals Glory's zone, Udo Gloeckner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Buccino came out of the goal and Udo Gloeckner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, FC Portugals Glory's goalkeeper Francisco Buccino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Udo Gloeckner. If Udo Gloeckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salomon Lengen during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salomon Lengen kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Greg Scilacci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Scheuber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Greg Scilacci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Georges Briard in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chris Scheuber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Udo Gloeckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Buccino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from LLoyd Fruehauf, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. FC Portugals Glory's Francisco Buccino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by LLoyd Fruehauf in the 87th minute of play. LLoyd Fruehauf received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Francisco Buccino came out and tried to block the shot, but LLoyd Fruehauf slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 88th minute. Greg Scilacci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Chris Scheuber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Portugals Glory were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Grasshoppers for a fine match.
