Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Palmiro Lenz made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Jeremiah Geisseler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Tizian Imboden in the 6th minute really tested Feliciano Ritter's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Baptiste Berg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Liebistorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Neeser to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liebistorf's goalkeeper Feliciano Ritter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baptiste Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Argus Beaudry kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Palmiro Lenz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palmiro Lenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Chris Scheuber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Scheuber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baptiste Berg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Grasshoppers getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Timmy Mathieu hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Thierry Sablone sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Grasshoppers's Chris Scheuber didn't even have to move. Chris Scheuber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Palmiro Lenz's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Palmiro Lenz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chris Scheuber was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Grasshoppers's Jiri Koch got a free kick in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palmiro Lenz in the 47th minute of play forced Grasshoppers's goalkeeper Chris Scheuber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell LLoyd Fruehauf to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Udo Gloeckner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grasshoppers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 57th minute, Baptiste Berg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chris Scheuber was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 65th minute, Grasshoppers's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baptiste Berg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Grasshoppers's Chris Scheuber got control of the ball when Baptiste Berg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chris Scheuber came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Liebistorf's Baptiste Berg. But to his dismay, Baptiste Berg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Ronny Tittone hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Liebistorf's Baptiste Berg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chris Scheuber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Ronny Tittone charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronny Tittone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baptiste Berg had several of the Grasshoppers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-5 score and a disappointed Chris Scheuber as he didn't even see the shot coming.
