In the 14th minute, Nicolas Kolb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Juergen Hirschy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chris Scheuber, 2-0. After 31 played minutes Grasshoppers got a freekick which was hit by Argus Beaudry. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charles Labrie in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chris Scheuber saved Grasshoppers from getting behind. FC Winznau's Juergen Hirschy got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The wind increased when LLoyd Fruehauf made the kick off in the second half. Charles Labrie ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Charles Labrie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chris Scheuber. Grasshoppers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Labrie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Jurij Sablone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Scheuber having to interfere.
