When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and LLoyd Fruehauf made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Aurigeno got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Spiller. In the 57th minute, LLoyd Fruehauf made a precise shot to the right of Jeremias Delfs. Aurigeno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jeremias Delfs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Udo Gloeckner's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Grasshoppers's Chris Scheuber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Camenzind in the 94th minute of play. Grasshoppers's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
