Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joachim Wetter to make the kick off. The supporters of Plasselb booed when Novazzano SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Kaiser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Forrest Brands short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Marius Giorgi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 60th minute of the match Plasselb got a corner. Novazzano SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Huber Rastgeber ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ian Herger tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Marius Giorgi. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 60th minute. Ingo Zwahlen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Kaiser in the 69th minute of play. Nicola Büto's late challenge caught a Novazzano SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicola Büto helped the player get up and apologised. Nicola Büto hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 78th play minute Forrest Brand came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marius Giorgi. 0-2. After having played for 81 minutes, Forrest Brand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plasselb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Forrest Brand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Joachim Wetter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Plasselb played a much better game than Novazzano SC and deserved their victory. The Novazzano SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
