After a rather tough play, YOUNG BOYS's Omar Schneebeli got a free kick in the 27th minute. Andreas Dubois took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tam Henseler. YOUNG BOYS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thomas Naumann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Peter having to interfere. Tam Henseler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Stutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Maximilien Dürst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind YOUNG BOYS's goalkeeper Tam Henseler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Maximilien Dürst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Dubois charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Dubois the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SpVgg Blauer Platz getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Andreas Dubois hit a great ball.

Benoit Amhof's late challenge caught a SpVgg Blauer Platz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benoit Amhof helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to YOUNG BOYS getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Benoit Amhof hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, YOUNG BOYS's goalkeeper Tam Henseler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximilien Dürst. 61 minutes into the match, YOUNG BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Stutz came free, but Tam Henseler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinhard Rochat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Scott Schoch kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Tam Henseler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Stutz in the 66th minute of the match. Reinhard Rochat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jonas Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Thomas Naumann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SpVgg Blauer Platz's Nico Stutz got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Reinhard Rochat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reinhard Rochat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Peter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Nico Stutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tam Henseler having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
