The audience thought a goal was coming when Joachim Wetter got free with Raphael Pollastrini in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Plasselb's Joachim Wetter ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raphael Pollastrini. Raphael Pollastrini yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Raphael Pollastrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Wetter, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Plasselb's Forrest Brand got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severin Schifferle hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Forrest Brand's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Raphael Pollastrini skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Basel FC's Raphael Pollastrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Wetter in the 32nd minute of play. Raphael Pollastrini made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Sergius Morf sent off a good shot on target. Forrest Brand's late challenge caught a Basel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Forrest Brand helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Plasselb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Forrest Brand to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Wetter in the 42nd minute of play forced Basel FC's goalkeeper Raphael Pollastrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forrest Brand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Raphael Pollastrini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Armin Schwarz's late challenge caught a Plasselb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armin Schwarz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Basel FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Armin Schwarz hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Forrest Brand ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raphael Pollastrini was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Joachim Wetter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raphael Pollastrini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Joachim Wetter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Forrest Brand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Pollastrini having to interfere. Basel FC's Raphael Pollastrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Wetter in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Forrest Brand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oliver Iacovone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingo Zwahlen having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Joachim Wetter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Foster Catalusci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Plasselb's Joachim Wetter in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Basel FC's goalie prevented a goal. Raphael Pollastrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Forrest Brand in the 91st minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Plasselb players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
