But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farid Lehner couldn't finish the play. Hans-Ruedi Winkel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Farid Lehner in the 7th minute of play. Lutger Hottiger might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hans-Ruedi Winkel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lutger Hottiger ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15thth minute of the game Farid Lehner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monte's Hans-Ruedi Winkel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lutger Hottiger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans-Ruedi Winkel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Farid Lehner, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Nero Loewe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cedric Zihlmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lutger Hottiger in the 27th minute of play forced Monte's goalkeeper Hans-Ruedi Winkel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farid Lehner took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans-Ruedi Winkel. Hans-Ruedi Winkel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Farid Lehner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 39 played minutes Monte got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Dolder. If Lutger Hottiger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Farid Lehner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Ruedi Winkel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Bryan Dolder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Niederbuchsiten the free kick. A collision led to Monte getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Bryan Dolder hit a great ball. Lutger Hottiger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Farid Lehner to strike the kick off in the second half. Cooper Imgrüt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hans-Ruedi Winkel came out and tried to block the shot, but Cooper Imgrüt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 66th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Lutger Hottiger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niederbuchsiten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lutger Hottiger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Niederbuchsiten booed when Monte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finn Neudorf didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nero Loewe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niederbuchsiten's Farid Lehner got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lutger Hottiger came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hans-Ruedi Winkel could save by the left post. When Monte's Pierre Nietlispach in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Niederbuchsiten's goalie prevented a goal. 98 minutes into the match, Farid Lehner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hans-Ruedi Winkel, 0-5.
