Spectators: 7765 (Terracing: 5825, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 154) After a defensive mix-up in Pignia SC's zone, Samir Büchler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Vonarburg came out of the goal and Samir Büchler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodolphe Ambühl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes FC Prussia got a freekick which was hit by Matthäus Kümin. In the 15th minute Rodolphe Ambühl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Vonarburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Prussia's Matthäus Kümin got a free kick in the 16th minute. Peter Vonarburg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barnabas Schreider went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Rodolphe Ambühl came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Prussia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolphe Ambühl couldn't finish the play. When Matthäus Kümin fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Prussia's protests and gave Matthäus Kümin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pignia SC booed when FC Prussia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthäus Kümin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Schaller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remy Camenzind in the 46th minute of play. If Samir Büchler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodolphe Ambühl to make the kick off. Pignia SC's Peter Vonarburg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Pignia SC from getting a goal against them. Peter Vonarburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samir Büchler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samir Büchler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, FC Prussia's Samir Büchler dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 70 minutes into the match, Pignia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Samir Büchler came free, but Peter Vonarburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pignia SC's Peter Vonarburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samir Büchler in the 72nd minute of play. Rodolphe Ambühl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Peter Vonarburg made a huge save. Peter Vonarburg was a little too slow when Samir Büchler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandor Vogel in the 86th minute of play forced FC Prussia's goalkeeper Fabian Schaller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pignia SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Samir Büchler scored to the left of an out of position Peter Vonarburg, making the score, 1-5. After a rather tough play, FC Prussia's Matthäus Kümin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Fabian Schaller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandor Vogel in the 95th minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, FC Prussia's Rodolphe Ambühl made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Vonarburg was left in no man's land by his defense there! The FC Prussia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Prussia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
