The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Rausis might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jake Dubler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Rausis ran back to his position shaking his head. After 6 minutes, Lajos Bianco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sheffield United and the Iseo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Iseo FC booed when Sheffield United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lajos Bianco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Joachim Pfister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Biland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tommy Smith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Sheffield United's Stefan Jurt in the 14th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jake Dubler was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Iseo FC through an amazing save. When Fridolin Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sheffield United's protests and gave Fridolin Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Fridolin Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Iseo FC's Jake Dubler got control of the ball when Francisco Rausis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Joachim Pfister who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheffield United's Tommy Smith was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th match minute, Iseo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keamon Amrein to maneuver through the defense. Joachim Pfister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Smith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Pfister in the 45th minute of the match. Iseo FC's Ernesto Biland got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Jurt was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Rausis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jake Dubler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joachim Pfister kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 60thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Sheffield United's keeper Tommy Smith was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 64th minute, Sander Locher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jake Dubler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Jurt in the 66th minute of the match. Joachim Pfister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tommy Smith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Smith made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Joachim Pfister sent off a good shot on target. Ernesto Biland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Smith read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Stefan Jurt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joachim Pfister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Smith having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Ernesto Biland recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Smith. Ernesto Biland showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 84 played minutes Iseo FC got a freekick which was hit by Sander Locher. Joachim Pfister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheffield United's goalkeeper Tommy Smith, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernesto Biland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Smith having to interfere. When Lajos Bianco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 97th minute, Lajos Bianco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iseo FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Sheffield United to leave the ground with a draw.
