When Francisco Rausis came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Sheffield United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Rausis couldn't finish the play. Sheffield United's Francisco Rausis got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Sheffield United's Tommy Smith got control of the ball when Cody Wapf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cody Wapf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC March Höfe's Teddy Marty got a free kick in the 15th minute. Stefan Jurt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolito Gschwind having to interfere. The supporters of Sheffield United booed when FC March Höfe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reto Hegnauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Marc Smith sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manolito Gschwind skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to FC March Höfe getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Reto Hegnauer hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Francisco Rausis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheffield United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Rausis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Rausis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Stefan Jurt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manolito Gschwind was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Sheffield United's Tommy Smith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefano Cacciatore in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sheffield United's Lajos Bianco got a free kick in the 44th minute. Luca Gremion shot from long distance in the 44th minute, but Tommy Smith was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Tommy Smith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefano Cacciatore in the 46th minute of the match. Cody Wapf took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Smith. Tommy Smith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.

Manolito Gschwind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Jurt in the 66th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cody Wapf in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Smith saved Sheffield United from getting behind. Francisco Rausis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stefano Cacciatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC March Höfe booed when Sheffield United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romain Heinzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cody Wapf sped through Sheffield United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Smith. Stefano Cacciatore kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Stefano Cacciatore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Smith was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Stefano Cacciatore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Smith having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Cody Wapf managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC March Höfe's supporters rose to their feet, but Cody Wapf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Smith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Cody Wapf put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Smith. FC March Höfe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
