In the 10th minute Filippo Panetier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Schwerzmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filippo Panetier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SQUAIRE GAMBETTA's Filippo Panetier got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Leo Steiger made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Schwerzmann. Verdasio HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Filippo Panetier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lienhard Steiner yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Leo Steiger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Schwerzmann having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Filippo Panetier managed to get in a good position for a shot. SQUAIRE GAMBETTA's supporters rose to their feet, but Filippo Panetier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Schwerzmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 47 minutes, Leo Steiger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SQUAIRE GAMBETTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Steiger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half SQUAIRE GAMBETTA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Filippo Panetier might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Schwerzmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filippo Panetier ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute, Patricius Bianco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes, Sixtus Wehrlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SQUAIRE GAMBETTA and the Verdasio HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute of the match Wilhelm Ziegler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lienhard Steiner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Filippo Panetier got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. SQUAIRE GAMBETTA's Leo Steiger got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gioacchino Felder's late challenge caught a SQUAIRE GAMBETTA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gioacchino Felder helped the player get up and apologised. Gioacchino Felder kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. SQUAIRE GAMBETTA's Filippo Panetier got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lienhard Steiner came out of the goal and Patricius Bianco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Leo Steiger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SQUAIRE GAMBETTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Steiger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Leo Steiger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Verdasio HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sascha Caluzi to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricius Bianco in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lienhard Steiner saved SQUAIRE GAMBETTA from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded SQUAIRE GAMBETTA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Verdasio HC.
