An unexpectedly hard shot by Piet Randolph in the 4th minute of play forced Interista Ecublano's goalkeeper Manolito Frappier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Odysseus Lucciotti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manolito Frappier was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Piet Randolph fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolito Frappier having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piet Randolph in the 12th minute of play forced Interista Ecublano's goalkeeper Manolito Frappier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolito Frappier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odysseus Lucciotti in the 16th minute of the match. If Piet Randolph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odysseus Lucciotti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolito Frappier having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Das war es....'s goalkeeper Charly Jeker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lutger Stegmeier. Lutger Stegmeier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charly Jeker having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olof Schenkel to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Dresner kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Das war es....'s Charly Jeker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutger Stegmeier in the 56th minute of play. After 61 minutes, Olof Schenkel made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Das war es....'s Charly Jeker tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Odysseus Lucciotti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Manolito Frappier made a huge save. 69 minutes into the match, Das war es....'s goal looked a bit too open when Lutger Stegmeier came free, but Charly Jeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes Das war es.... got a freekick which was hit by Lovis Zehntner. In the 72nd minute of the match Antonio Rütimann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charly Jeker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Piet Randolph blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manolito Frappier having to make a save. When Lutger Stegmeier came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Interista Ecublano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lutger Stegmeier couldn't finish the play. If Lutger Stegmeier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charly Jeker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Schenkel, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Anton Lachapelle fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Interista Ecublano's protests and gave Anton Lachapelle a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Das war es.... booed when Interista Ecublano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Lachapelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Piet Randolph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lutger Stegmeier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
