After a rather tough play, Black Stars Basel's Aaron Bösiger got a free kick in the 6th minute. Fabrice Iosif hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Dominic Geiser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Freitag, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freeman Widenmeier in the 17th minute of play forced Black Stars Basel's goalkeeper Dominic Geiser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reto Buccino charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reto Buccino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freeman Widenmeier in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dominic Geiser saved Black Stars Basel from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Reto Buccino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Wemelinger. FC Burgdorf 2011's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reto Buccino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Dominic Geiser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Black Stars Basel's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Freitag came free, but Dominic Geiser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dominic Geiser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freeman Widenmeier in the 41st minute of play. Dominic Geiser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freeman Widenmeier in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Reto Buccino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Wemelinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reto Buccino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Wemelinger having to make a save. FC Burgdorf 2011's Joel Wemelinger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reto Buccino in the 60th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Reto Buccino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Stars Basel's supporters rose to their feet, but Reto Buccino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Wemelinger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruben Müller in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Wemelinger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to FC Burgdorf 2011 getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. With an all-out effort, FC Burgdorf 2011's Dominic Geiser threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Freeman Widenmeier, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
