Luzein HC's Simone Hébert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Luzein HC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Luzein HC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Patrizio Kuhn hit a great ball. When Patrizio Kuhn was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 21 minutes had been played. After 24 minutes, Paolo Desnoyers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luzein HC and the FCBeresina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paolo Desnoyers hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, FCBeresina's Istvan Mutach broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 26 minutes into the match, FCBeresina's John Jolicoeur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simone Hébert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paolo Desnoyers was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Urban Weingart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Simone Hébert when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th match minute, Luzein HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchior Hurni to maneuver through the defense. John Jolicoeur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmus Sauber in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simone Hébert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When John Jolicoeur came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the FCBeresina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Jolicoeur couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when John Jolicoeur made the kick off in the second half. If John Jolicoeur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. After 88 played minutes, FCBeresina's Istvan Mutach shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simone Hébert came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FCBeresina reached it. If John Jolicoeur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Jolicoeur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Simone Hébert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
