The audience thought a goal was coming when Caspar Bleyer got free with Cooper Baumann in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Arturo Kupper made a precise shot to the right of Cooper Baumann. Stein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Cooper Baumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Kupper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Stein's Cooper Baumann got control of the ball when Caspar Bleyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Dinamo St.Gallen's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Klein came free, but Henry Wigger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Ciancone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Wigger having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Hans Klein made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Arturo Kupper who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stein's Cooper Baumann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Hans Klein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Klein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dinamo St.Gallen's zone, Roland Ciancone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Wigger came out of the goal and Roland Ciancone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Wigger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Ciancone, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Arturo Kupper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cooper Baumann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Ciancone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roland Ciancone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Many of Stein's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Stein may have spent more time on the ball, but Dinamo St.Gallen were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
