Hans Klein kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. FC Basel's Francois Salvatei couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stein. When FC Basel's Rinaldo Wiler in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stein's goalie prevented a goal. Rinaldo Wiler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cooper Baumann having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Stein's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Kurmann came free, but Cooper Baumann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, FC Basel's Rinaldo Wiler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cooper Baumann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Cooper Baumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rinaldo Wiler in the 20th minute of the match. Cooper Baumann came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Basel's Rinaldo Wiler. But to his dismay, Rinaldo Wiler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Claude Visser hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rinaldo Wiler in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cooper Baumann saved Stein from getting behind. Hans Klein kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, FC Basel's Rinaldo Wiler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cooper Baumann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klemens Gervasi during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 34 minutes into the game, one of Stein:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Francois Salvatei walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 39 minutes, Harley Bollier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Basel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harley Bollier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 minutes Stein's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Francois Salvatei who took care of the corner kick. The Stein players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Basel were winning 0-5.

Rinaldo Wiler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cooper Baumann came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Basel's Andre Kurmann. But to his dismay, Andre Kurmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Harley Bollier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rinaldo Wiler struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Cooper Baumann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Basel. Rinaldo Wiler might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cooper Baumann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rinaldo Wiler ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Rinaldo Wiler managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Basel's supporters rose to their feet, but Rinaldo Wiler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cooper Baumann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 71 minutes of play Stein's Klemens Gervasi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 70th minute, one of Stein:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stein. The goalkeeper, Cooper Baumann, was totally fooled by FC Basel's Francois Salvatei, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Rinaldo Wiler did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-8 to the left of a surprised Cooper Baumann 75 minutes into the match. If Harley Bollier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Stein's goalkeeper Cooper Baumann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rinaldo Wiler. After 84 played minutes Dolf Dietrich rounded Stein's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-9. Cooper Baumann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rinaldo Wiler in the 87th minute. Rinaldo Wiler scored 0-10 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cooper Baumann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Rinaldo Wiler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94th play minutes Rinaldo Wiler shot 0-11, a short shot which went by Cooper Baumann and just under the crossbar into goal. Rinaldo Wiler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Cooper Baumann made a huge save. FC Basel's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
