In the 8th minute, Nikolai Zumbrunnen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Falco Hofstetter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 16 minutes into the match, Louboutin's Basilius Frei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falco Hofstetter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nikolai Zumbrunnen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 22 minutes, Carl Baggenstoss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morcote and the Louboutin players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Louboutin booed when Morcote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Baggenstoss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falco Hofstetter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilius Frei in the 25th minute of the match. Norbert Girardelli hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Nikolai Zumbrunnen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falco Hofstetter having to interfere. Valentino Wy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Hubert Dober tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Louboutin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nikodemus Kappel in the 36th minute. The corner led Louboutin's Nikodemus Kappel to fire away a dangerous shot which Falco Hofstetter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nikolai Zumbrunnen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Falco Hofstetter made a huge save. In the 44th match minute, Morcote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobie Keist to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Nikolai Zumbrunnen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leander Lemann during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Morcote! In the 65th minute Nikolai Zumbrunnen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falco Hofstetter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Nikolai Zumbrunnen made a precise shot to the right of Falco Hofstetter. Morcote's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Nikolai Zumbrunnen struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Falco Hofstetter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Louboutin. After a defensive mix-up in Morcote's zone, Nikolai Zumbrunnen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falco Hofstetter came out of the goal and Nikolai Zumbrunnen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nikolai Zumbrunnen came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Louboutin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolai Zumbrunnen couldn't finish the play. Falco Hofstetter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owain Mawel in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Morcote players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Louboutin.
