Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Gualtiero Stalder fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benedict Gut, passed just outside the right post. 29 minutes into the match, FC Tibau du Sul's goalkeeper Benedict Gut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Liniger. Benedict Gut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualtiero Stalder, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Tom Liniger was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualtiero Stalder to make the kick off. Benedict Gut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualtiero Stalder in the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, FC Tibau du Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Gualtiero Stalder came free, but Benedict Gut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gualtiero Stalder came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sirnach213 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualtiero Stalder couldn't finish the play. Benedict Gut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualtiero Stalder in the 63rd minute of play. With a little luck, Sirnach213's Ruben Trudeau got control of the ball when Lars Vogler tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Tibau du Sul booed when Sirnach213 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Cathomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Sirnach213 getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Knud Jolidon hit a great ball. After 75 minutes, Remi Wunderlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Tibau du Sul and the Sirnach213 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, FC Tibau du Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remi Wunderlin to maneuver through the defense. Gualtiero Stalder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Benedict Gut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Disler in the 81st minute of play forced Sirnach213's goalkeeper Ruben Trudeau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualtiero Stalder scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedict Gut, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sirnach213 fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Sirnach213's Gualtiero Stalder looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Orell Freitag's late challenge caught a Sirnach213's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orell Freitag helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes FC Tibau du Sul got a freekick which was hit by Orell Freitag. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sirnach213's goalkeeper Ruben Trudeau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sirnach213's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
