With a little luck, Mike FC's Garcia Perna got control of the ball when Fred Freitag tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tim Füglister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Fortin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Unterengstringen AC's Garcia Perna threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Owen Handschin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 14 played minutes, Mike FC's Guglielmo Fellmann shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tim Füglister came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mike FC reached it. Dick Fortin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tim Füglister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Unterengstringen AC's goal looked a bit too open when Placidus Hottiger came free, but Tim Füglister reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mike FC's Andy Hammer got a free kick in the 20th minute. Roberto Boller hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Tim Füglister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placidus Hottiger in the 25th minute of the match. Dick Fortin scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Füglister, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unterengstringen AC's goalkeeper Tim Füglister, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tim Füglister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Fortin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dick Fortin took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Füglister. Tim Füglister dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to Unterengstringen AC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fred Freitag hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dick Fortin to make the kick off. Placidus Hottiger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Tim Füglister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dick Fortin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Tim Füglister made a huge save. When Vitus Hermann fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unterengstringen AC's protests and gave Vitus Hermann a yellow card for diving instead. Dick Fortin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Tim Füglister made a huge save. With his leg Tim Füglister managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Mike FC's Dick Fortin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 72nd minute Placidus Hottiger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Füglister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Unterengstringen AC defense, Dick Fortin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim Füglister. The Unterengstringen AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim Füglister should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Placidus Hottiger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Füglister was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Tim Füglister made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Dick Fortin sent off a good shot on target. Mike FC played a much better game than Unterengstringen AC and deserved their victory. The Unterengstringen AC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
