Stuart Strauss's late challenge caught a Sv Kayilar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stuart Strauss helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Keller in the 21st minute of play forced Ghana Black Stars's goalkeeper Jordano Baum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Wagner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Sandmeyer in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, Sv Kayilar's Emilio Wagner got control of the ball when Felix Sandmeyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jordano Baum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lesley Dresdner in the 26th minute of the match. The Ghana Black Stars fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Ghana Black Stars's Felix Sandmeyer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emilio Wagner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germain Himmel in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 58th of the match, Olof Keller tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jordano Baum got in the way and made a wonderful save. Lesley Dresdner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Jordano Baum made a huge save. Ghana Black Stars's Jordano Baum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Keller in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Ghana Black Stars's goalkeeper Jordano Baum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lesley Dresdner. Olof Keller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Sv Kayilar's Lesley Dresdner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jordano Baum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Olof Keller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Ghana Black Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Strauss to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Tito Faure in the 79th minute really tested Jordano Baum's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Olof Keller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordano Baum having to interfere. In the 84th minute Felix Sandmeyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Wagner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Lesley Dresdner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sv Kayilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lesley Dresdner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
