In the 22nd minute of the match, Olof Keller tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rob Loiacono saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Clayton Zubriggen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clayton Zubriggen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Emilio Wagner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clayton Zubriggen in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilio Wagner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Lausen's Claudio Köppel got a free kick in the 36th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clayton Zubriggen to make the kick off. Rob Loiacono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Keller in the 56th minute of play. Lausen's Rob Loiacono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Keller in the 57th minute of play. Rob Loiacono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lesley Dresdner, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Douglas Reinhard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clayton Zubriggen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Henry Scheupach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lesley Dresdner in the 68th minute of play forced Lausen's goalkeeper Rob Loiacono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Lausen's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Keller came free, but Rob Loiacono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felicien Laforge during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rob Loiacono was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Clayton Zubriggen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
