Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yannis Gisler started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Yannis Gisler put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sven Wespi. Xaver Meyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Yannis Gisler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sven Wespi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 14 played minutes 1. FC Hombrechtikon got a freekick which was hit by Xaver Meyer. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's attentive Matt Kumschick managed to snatch the ball when Igor Pasquino made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Sigriswil's Earnest Albiez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Earnest Albiez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sigriswil protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Earnest Albiez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 23rd minute, one of Sigriswil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sigriswil. Sven Wespi went to the wrong direction when Peder Baertschi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Sigriswil's Sven Wespi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannis Gisler in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in 1. FC Hombrechtikon's zone, Edgar Unternährer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolai Gmür came out of the goal and Edgar Unternährer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of 1. FC Hombrechtikon booed when Sigriswil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Rausis didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Yannis Gisler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yannis Gisler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Yannis Gisler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Unternährer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolai Gmür having to interfere. After 46 played minutes 1. FC Hombrechtikon got a freekick which was hit by Matt Kumschick.

The 1. FC Hombrechtikon fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Yannis Gisler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Sigriswil getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jost Denis hit a great ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Edgar Unternährer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sigriswil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Unternährer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven Wespi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yannis Gisler in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, 1. FC Hombrechtikon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaver Meyer to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Unternährer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Xaver Meyer managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's supporters rose to their feet, but Xaver Meyer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Wespi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yannis Gisler might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven Wespi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yannis Gisler ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute of the match Peder Baertschi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven Wespi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Yannis Gisler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sven Wespi. That made the score 0-4 in the 85 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Yannis Gisler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Wespi was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Sigriswil's zone, Peder Baertschi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Wespi came out of the goal and Peder Baertschi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Sigriswil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 1. FC Hombrechtikon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
