Spectators: 7719 (Terracing: 5790, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Maxence Dresner made the kick off which started today's match. Irgenhausen's Jean Palluzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurenz Despland in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Günter Schurter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Irgenhausen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merdassonnet FC the free kick. Maxence Dresner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jean Palluzzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arrigo Anderhub during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Irgenhausen getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Arrigo Anderhub hit a great ball. Laurenz Despland took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean Palluzzi. Jean Palluzzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Merdassonnet FC's Ingo Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Fiore Kluge managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Irgenhausen's Patrick Liniger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Laurenzo Leonz kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Maxence Dresner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Palluzzi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Maxence Dresner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merdassonnet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maxence Dresner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Palluzzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxence Dresner in the 44th minute of play forced Irgenhausen's goalkeeper Jean Palluzzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jiri Wemelinger made the kick off in the second half. Maxence Dresner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean Palluzzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Patrick Liniger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fiore Kluge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Patrick Liniger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiore Kluge having to interfere. With a little luck, Irgenhausen's Jean Palluzzi got control of the ball when Laurenz Despland tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute Patrick Liniger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiore Kluge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Merdassonnet FC's zone, Jiri Wemelinger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiore Kluge came out of the goal and Jiri Wemelinger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fiore Kluge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Liniger, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Arrigo Anderhub was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Irgenhausen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ingo Koehler was slow to take the kick. During this time Merdassonnet FC's players had a chance to rest. Patrick Liniger might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fiore Kluge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrick Liniger ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
