When Lorenzo Schwyzer fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Green Devils's protests and gave Lorenzo Schwyzer a yellow card for diving instead. Lorenzo Schwyzer kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to FC STECKBORN getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Davide Bütler hit a great ball. Remo Schneider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Herzog, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, FC Green Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Massey came free, but Remo Schneider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Herzog in the 19th minute of play forced FC Green Devils's goalkeeper Remo Schneider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, FC Green Devils's Mathieu Schwander threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dominic Gamache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Zumsteg in the 30th minute of play forced FC Green Devils's goalkeeper Remo Schneider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Manuel Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Remo Schneider was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 52 minutes, Davide Bütler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC STECKBORN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davide Bütler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dominic Gamache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Green Devils's Remo Schneider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Zumsteg in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, FC Green Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregoire Berg to maneuver through the defense. After 61st play minutes Guy Zumsteg shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Remo Schneider and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 66th minute, FC Green Devils's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manuel Herzog fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. FC STECKBORN's supporters rose to their feet, but Guy Zumsteg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo Schneider breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute Guy Zumsteg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Schneider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC STECKBORN's Guy Zumsteg got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Herzog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Remo Schneider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Green Devils's zone, Frankie Massey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remo Schneider came out of the goal and Frankie Massey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Gregoire Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over FC STECKBORN could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Green Devils throughout the match.
