Stephan Colmano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Zuccarino, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, SV LYSS's Keamon Küng got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Christy Montandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Steiner in the 44th minute of play. Stephan Colmano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dietrich Arnold in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dietrich Arnold to strike the kick off in the second half. Keamon Küng charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Stephan Colmano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Rothenthurm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastian Huser to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Dietrich Arnold ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stephan Colmano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. During the 89th minute of the match Max Melone completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Max Melone a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of SV LYSS booed when Rothenthurm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Melone didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dietrich Arnold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SV LYSS's Hans Zuccarino got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When SV LYSS's Dietrich Arnold in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dietrich Arnold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stephan Colmano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
