Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Grayson Siegenthaler got the match started through his kick off. Werner Espa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Bürger having to interfere. Cody Reinhard charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cody Reinhard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, FC Simplon's Guy Bürger got control of the ball when Mike Reinhard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lukas Becker's late challenge caught a Rufi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lukas Becker helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes FC Simplon got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Becker. The wind increased when Werner Moos made the kick off in the second half. Jaques Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Werner Moos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Werner Espa in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy Bürger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Werner Espa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Guy Bürger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Werner Moos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Werner Moos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Bürger having to interfere. Guy Bürger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Werner Espa's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Werner Moos put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Guy Bürger. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Werner Moos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rufi's supporters rose to their feet, but Werner Moos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guy Bürger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Rufi were the better team. Rufi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
