With a little luck, Limianos's Reynold Ehrler got control of the ball when Werner Espa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Werner Moos in the 43rd minute of play forced Limianos's goalkeeper Reynold Ehrler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Werner Moos sped through Limianos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reynold Ehrler. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Limianos defense, Werner Moos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynold Ehrler. The Limianos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynold Ehrler should have stopped the shot. If Rocco Casutt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rufi's goalkeeper Rowland Heinzer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 94 minutes, Werner Espa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rufi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Werner Espa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynold Ehrler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Werner Moos, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Rufi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
