The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rafael Ulrich the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Basel protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rafael Ulrich had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 6th match minute, FC Basel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Ulrich to maneuver through the defense. Dan Bar struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Lucas Ulrich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Snooky 1902. Oleg Holzner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes FC Basel got a freekick which was hit by Gualtier Théberge. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack Thoma in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Ulrich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oleg Holzner hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. FC Basel's Lucas Ulrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Thoma in the 22nd minute of play. Lucas Ulrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oleg Holzner, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Lucas Ulrich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Thoma's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Lucas Ulrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philo Gilg in the 34th minute of the match. Lucas Ulrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Thoma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Sylvester Achermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rod Poulin in the 51st minute of the match. The throw-in from Lukas Beauchamps in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Basel's Rod Poulin. Jordan Clément sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Baertschi hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Snooky 1902 booed when FC Basel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reto Rusterholz didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Basel's Lucas Ulrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save FC Basel from getting a goal against them. In the 75th match minute, FC Snooky 1902 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baruch Venturini to maneuver through the defense. Dan Bar's late challenge caught a FC Basel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Bar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for FC Basel. Karsten Déziel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sylvester Achermann. 1-0. Lucas Ulrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oleg Holzner, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The supporters of FC Basel booed when FC Snooky 1902 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Isler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karsten Déziel, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 89 minutes of play FC Snooky 1902's Baruch Venturini was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. Sylvester Achermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 94th minute of the match Dan Bar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dan Bar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Snooky 1902! Karsten Déziel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Snooky 1902's zone, Rod Poulin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvester Achermann came out of the goal and Rod Poulin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Basel fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Snooky 1902 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
